God's view on BIRTH CONTROL

So, I had a lot of people weigh in and answer the question:

"Can Christian women use birth control? NO? YES? and WHY?"

This is my revelation, understanding, and God's view of birth control.

What is the role of a woman?

The role of women within this culture has changed drastically. No matter the changes, God according to the bible has still called us to act, think, be, and speak a certain way. We are Queens, a WOMAN, not men and apple of God's eye!

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Woman, along-side men from the very beginning were both made in the image of God! So when you hear people say the Christian faith says a woman is to be looked down upon, is incorrect.

Genesis 2:18

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:18 explains the role of a woman further by saying

Not only are we made in God's image so we embody his spirit. We were the only creatures made from a rib and not dirt. But specially we are also called to be a help meet to our man.

Some women in our generation have kind of dismissed this clause, saying they don't need to be helping no man, the man should be helping them. Woman we must understanding this is the bible we are reading, inspired by God, who made you and hand knitted you in the womb! He made all of us women to be a help meet to our husband, not to only climb the corporate ladder, or do our own things outside the home. This simple obedient helps the next generation of the seed we bear in our womb, helps fulfill the calling God has bestowed on your man, and helps God pour down his blessings and fulfill the calling he has upon our lives as a woman.

Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

As woman one of our roles is to be fruitful and multiply! It does not say a certain number, but God has that number already pre-selected for us, whether we plan the number or not.

Children in God's eyes are VERY IMPORTANT!

Psalm 127:3-5

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

In saying these, the roles of a woman are very important! As women we carry a spirit of excellency as we are also made in his image, we are to be a help meet to our husband and ,and to multiply the earth.

In addition there are instructions God gives us to aid our roles as woman. You can find them in Proverbs 31, Ephesians 5:25-310 1 Peter 3:3-4. These instructions does't state we should necessarily single handedly carry the burden as the head of an household. If married, it does not put a burden on us to work long hours. It's important we ascribe to Gods will for our life and not our will. It also helps us understand when married all actions outside the home are a joint decision with God and our husband and not of our own freewill only.

The issue in question which is as Christians are we to use birth control?

Where did birth control methods come from?

A full history of how birth control from the diaphragm and condoms to pills can be found here: HISTORY

Let's break the functions of birth control down. Especially the Pill. All other non natural methods of birth control married couples may choose to engage in essentially work, like the pill. First, the pill exists to inhibit ovulation, which is its primary means of birth control. Second, the pill thickens the cervical mucus with the effect that it becomes more difficult for sperm to travel to the egg. Third, the pill thins and shrivels the lining of the uterus so that it is unable or less able to facilitate the implantation of the newly fertilized egg.

The first two reasons one can say may be acceptable for christian couples to use as they are contraceptive in nature, but the third reasoning with this medically made birth control method, can be potentially abortive in that it seeks to disrupt the ongoing life of a fertilized egg.
With this reasoning, it is important Christian couples be informed of the potential abortive nature of birth control pills so that they can study the matter further and prayerfully come to an informed decision according to their own conscience and the leading of God the Holy Spirit.

Some may then say, because it says in

1 Corinthians 7:5

Don’t withhold yourselves from each other unless you agree to do so for a set time to devote yourselves to prayer. Then you should get back together so that Satan doesn’t use your lack of self-control to tempt you.

That because sex is for pleasure we must then have birth control to be able to enjoy ourselves. NO. God sees sex to be done between a married man and woman to express intimacy, provide comfort, bless the spouse, but ultimately naturally it is to bring forth children!

Some may say God is a God of order, in having like 10 children in our generation of expenses today, or because we may have other purposes in life besides the most essentials listed above we should use birth control. THIS IS NOT God's will. God's will, no matter what we are doing , will acome to pass. He is a God of order so you have faith he won't give you more than you are to handle. Your purpose outside your calling as a carrier of excellency, help meet to your husband, and commandment to be fruitful and multiply should not compromise these roles God's given you. This is something that the adversary is truly fooling women today with. Being independent as a Christian woman is being a proverbs 31 and using your gifts to help provide financially not compromising your role as a mother.

A Beautiful family the Dugger family. A Christian family in our current generation whom have 19 children by the grace of God. They are able to provide for all of them and they use crafty ways to do so, on one income, the dads. It's by God's grace they received a tv contract and of course that provides extra income. It's truly a blessing. If God is able to do it for them, he is able to do it for you! A special letters for mom's who may be feeling overwhelmed by Michelle Dugger http://www.duggarfamily.com/content/mothers

Education has been the biggest tool in aiding woman's thinking of how many children they should have. Some woman are able to have ample amounts of children, but because woman are able to be educated, we understand what it takes to have a child be successful in all areas of life. It takes time, money, and extra effort. Some then say birth control is needed. Education is great but again it can't compromise our faith, yet it should give us liberty on how many seed/s we plan on bearing, so I call us all to pray on it.

Lastly using birth control as a single was never the intent of the making of birth control. If you read the history of it above, and watch this short video by TIME magazine, you'll see it was for "married woman". None the less single woman took it and this created an upsurge of promiscuity and adultery . We are to one, not engage in sexual acts outside of marriage. Two, in saying one can use birth control for medical implications as a single and married, know God is still a God of healing and he is able to heal whatever you may have .

So I personally cannot tell you if birth control is a SIN or not. I personally cannot tell you either if you should or should not use it. But there are priorities needed to be taken in a woman's life. I pray again as a christian couple you study the side effects of birth control, this blog post, and the bible to prayerfully come to an informed decision according to your own conscience and the leading of God the Holy Spirit.
May God Bless you.

Personal Hygiene: YES Christians need to be CLEAN

Tuesday September 17 , 2013

I recently taught a bible Study on Personal Hygiene on a regular Prayer Line I attend on Wednesday night, the Strive Youth Ministry Prayer Line

This is a replica of my teaching verbatim.I pray it blesses you.

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

The bible talks about all topics but it really emphasizes the prospering of the soul. This 3 John verse acknowledges when the soul prosperous ones health also prospers!

God is very concerned with our health and Hygiene! Jesus in human flesh remained clean, so God desires the body and items he has blessed us with to be taken care of.

How does the soul prosper?

2 Chronicles 20: 18

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the SALVATION of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

Our soul prospers with Salvation. Salvation is wholeheartedly receiving Jesus into your heart, turning from your sins and believing Jesus died and washed you clean from your sins with his blood. Through receiving salvation your everlasting friend and father in heaven is advocating for you.

Now. Biblical and Practically Hygiene can fall into 4 points plus 1

1. Eating:

Exodus 23:13

Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

This verse alongside many other verses in Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy show that God is a God of detail. He was very particular with the Jews as all Christians are decedents of the Jews. This particular verse is instructing his children to not partake in leavened bread but unleavened bread. God wants our diet to be balanced. He seeks to make us understand what we feed on, not only spiritually but also physically should nourish our bodies.

We are to have a great portion of fruits, vegetables, and drink a lot of water. What goes into our bodies shows on our body and face. Here is a great website that helps you explain the portions of the food group your specific body type should intake daily and weekly: www.choosemyplate.gov
This is very essential to personal hygiene.

2. Exercise

1 Timothy 4:8

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Yes in this 1st Timothy verse it does state bodily exercise profiteth little, but because bodily exercise was even mentioned , proved God also knows the significance and importance to exercise! I recommend 30 minutes of exercise a day, but I understand my audience is largely students so 3 times a week for 30 minutes is also great! I would encourage you if you are below 30 to get a good workout regimen, find activities you like to do that keep you fit because after 30 our metabolism slows down and habits of physical activities tend to decrease. If you love the workouts you do though you will be prompt to workout. This is very essential to personal hygiene.

3. Aesthetics:

Psalm 139:14

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

1 Timothy 2:9

I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes

Genesis 35

And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

In showing the importance of aesthetics and how it plays into personal hygiene through scriptures you can also on your own, look at 1 Peter 3:3. These verses above are very important and need to be read with a prayerful heart. God is essentially telling you and I,we, were made perfect! The way he made us was how he intended us to live. All the holes we needed for us to maintain life on this earth has been given to us. The beauty he gave us at birth is all we need. We don't need to put on add ons, like additional piercings and or makeup to make us more beautiful. The enhancing of beauty comes from God's words and that in it self changes us from the inside out. It's God's joy for you to walk in spirit and in truth. To be confident with the holes, hair, face, skin, and body he has given you! You are wonderfully and beautifully made. Additional piercings can cause infections, and unwanted puss build up! Our body is not ours,it's God. We are in this body temporarily (Romans12:1) In saying that tattoo's are NOT in God's will. Any action that sheds blood apart from  bumps and scarps is a covenant with God. We find this all through out Exodus and in the new testament. We are not to continue with getting tattoos once we are born again and have consecrated our lives to God. You also don't need add ons' like weave and fake braids. They even smell if you aren't washing it and some can't get washed without the fear of unraveling the braids.

4. Purification:

Titus 2:1-5

Leviticus 12:1-8

These verses were highlighted to just show the importance God gives to purification and staying clean.

Some practical tips for the girls. We are delicate and to be chaste, meaning clean. I encourage us females if you can to take more baths than showers. If you don't currently have a bathtub, in a future home invest in a garden tub. We want to thoroughly clean our bodies because we not only give birth to children but each month we have a monthly menstrual cycle. We also want to take special care behind our ears, feet and private areas.I was told getting sea salts helps in cleaning and balancing our bodies. You can look into that.

For the boys pretty much the same, make sure you take baths. Pay attention to your feet as well. Take care of your skin.A great natural remedy for moisturizing your skin is honey. Wash your face well. Shave and don't forget to put on deodorant. Pay attention to your private areas and cut your nails.

Bonus:

Many people may have acne because they may not change their sheets. It's recommended you change and wash your bed sheets and pillow cases weekly or bi weekely.

You don't want to keep the same underwear for years on end. New ones should be bought when they start to tear, fade in color and may have un-removable stains.I recommend getting new under garments and underwear yearly.

Clean your surrounding areas. Your room, your dorm.Unclean areas breed unwanted pests. Clean your car as well.

Fornication is UNCLEAN. Having multiply sex partners is unclean. As Christians we must keep ourselves pure. STD & STI's, yeast infections, and more can come from an active sex life with multiple people.Pray for the grace to abstain and wait for your married partner.

It is also unlawful to have sexual intercourse with a woman on her period. This is unclean and represents a convent with blood due to the shedding of Blood. Please abstain.

That's it:) I pray we all live on this earth with great personal hygiene so we may live the number of years God has ordained us to live in prosperity!

BULLYING IS WRONG

Saturday September 7 , 2013

I am interrupting my Lukewarm Christian series, even though this can be related, to talk about bullying.

What is bullying? I am going to use the word of God to define it because God knows all things.

Leviticus 19:18

You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

From this Leviticus verse bullying is defined as taking on a personal grudge and or vengeance and then acting it out on someone. One takes on these grudges and vengeance upon themselves because they feel it's their right.

That is bullying. Most of us get bullied in grammar school and by God's grace it stops. But then some continue to get bullied through out all three years of middle, and then really key developmental years in high school; no matter how long it may take for a bully victim to finish such important and major years of school.

Why is bullying not to be taken lightly? Anything you think is casual in making or mocking someone is hate to God, and may stem from a hate you have within yourself.

1 John 3:15

Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 2:9

Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.

If one carries hate and or speaks hate they are a MURDERER. You are a murderer if you speak hateful words! Bullying someone, a group of people, is hate and you are a murderer in the eyes of God and God turns his back on you!

Why am I blogging or talking about bullying. Like I mentioned most of us go through bullying back when we may be younger because it seems to be the fad of some kids who may want to be in power, to pick on the kid that's different. Yes I have been a victim of bullying, but by God's grace my parents knew who they were in Christ and they assured me who I was, a child of the most high King. But I am really shedding light about this on my blog and from God's perspective because I have a close family member of mine who has been a victim of severe bullying. Because she is so close to me, and the normal dynamic of family life at time is the people close to you may not want to open up to their siblings at times.  Anyway by Gods grace this family member just gave her life to Christ and often times when one gives their life to Christ they tend to share and open up about their lives. She disclosed the root of a lot of things were from bullying.  From the children who lacked simple respect for others that lead to them making fun of someone else. This bullying lead to outcast, which lead to lack of friends, and difficulty in staying focus, and learning. Essentially the bullying lead to murdering of a social life, sound mental health of key developmental stages, learning, and self esteem.

Bullying destroys lives!

But you know I am and cannot only have this blog post be about what bullying is and how much it's hated by God. There is a solution for those who have been bullied and those who have and are bullying others.

There is a LOVING person that loves you! That made you! He knows your struggles, your every thought. He no longer wants to see you burdened or in disarray! The word of God tells you  so many ways to help you and gives you words to comfort you!

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 121:1-8

... From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. ...

Psalm 37:5

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

There it is. Commit yourself and thoughts to God. Trust him. And he will protect you. God is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God. Jesus Christ is the greatest love of all. Jesus Christ can be known by just surrendering all you've thought you know, allowing and receiving Jesus into your life. Be ready for change, start reading the bible. God will show you his ways, he will love, care about you, and mold you. If you recognize yourself as a bully you will be healed and shown to reflect the love of God. If you have been bullied I understand your pain and scars. You are precious! God has a plan and purpose for your life! You deserve and will live a full life that wont end midway. YOU won't die young!!!!! DO NOT GIVE UP! GOD loves you so much, so so so much. Commit your ways to him let him carry you through this life.

(My Beautiful sister and I)

As a future and current Leader I am taking a stand and a public one at that. I am saying NO to bullying!
