My heart completely and utterly breaks for my generation as it relates to Sexual Perversion. Yes in the bible it clearly shows people back in pre and post Jesus times, would have sex with multiple people outside of marriage(Galatians 5:19). Have sex with people of the same gender, female sleeping with female, male entering the back door and sleeping with other males(Romans 1:27), and have sex with even animals (Exodus 22:19)! And before my generation, my parents and their parent's were filled with pre-mature lust, and no regard to the dangers and curses being sexually impure brings to not only oneselfs physically and mentally, but to the marriage and generations to come!
What's different about my generation is the accesses to sex at a young age. As for me at 22, there was a computer in my house in my teenage years, And ads easily popped up with half naked men and women that when clicked would lead to porn infiltrated websites. (This clearly was back when ad control wasn't that great). Those in my age bracket then got cell phones, that were a lot smaller to fit into our pockets, hide under our pillow at night. Those cell phones would then be used to explore our bodies through conversations with our silly girlfriends or boyfriends, watch whatever we wanted to watch if we had the premium internet data plan at the time. THEN we have my sister's generation. My youngest sister is 15. She was able to go on laptops that my dad and I had when she was just 6 years old. Not exclusive to her but there are many females who are in her age bracket that had their inner sexual senses turned way up due to the exposing of the internet. 6,7,8,9 and 10 year old girls were now able to use webcams to be engulfed with sexual perversion with older perverted men on the internet because they LONG for the love only JESUS can fill. IT BREAKS MY HEART! If it doesn't break yours I pray after this post, your desire to lose the STRONGHOLD of the DEVIL in the area of SEXUAL IMPURITY will intensify!
I was there once, in a cycle of sexual perversion. I mean the world didn't see anything wrong with it because I was securely, cunningly hidden in a relationship with boys I clearly made an idol. To the world, in every relationship, we were marked to get married. At the age of 13, I was taught in public school masturbation was OK! Masturbation, going into a dark place where GOD is clearly watching, and fondling your private parts to give temporary pleasure, which starts a flame to drive and create an intensified fire, is OK!?? NO, its NOT. Then I was bombarded, with images and music from MTV, BET, HOT 97, 106&PARK, of females who had no shame in exposing their body parts, private parts, and rubbing all over men in front of millions of people daily. And that flame from masturbation, moved into that desire to want to be touched like those women that made it seem OK. But was it OK?! NO!
This is the story of so many of us, with our innocent minds, society comes to infiltrate and pollute us, to CURSE us, and stir us away from the love and advice our creator GOD created for us in the book of life the BIBLE. The very bible that is mocked by the rappers we idolized like, JCOLE, JAY-Z, and Kanye West among others. If only you, we, opened and mediated on the bible more, this curse this world wants to put on us would be rid away.
I no long am in that cycle! It was ONLY by the grace of God! Sometimes I look at myself and think, hum, my identity and desire is no longer found in humans and world, "Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James 4:4 That , I truly am set free from the curse of sexual immorality, because via confessing of my sins the BLOOD of JESUS set me free!
But know this:
There is a CURSE that comes with sexual immorality. ON ALL LEVELS!
For the men: The female you take out,whether she pushes you to or not, whether she lures you in or not, is someone's daughter, maybe sister, friend, and most importantly a creation of GOD! You are disrespecting the head of that female, her heavenly father and earthly father. Defiling someone else's property, especially God's will brings a multitude of problems for you. Problems emotionally and physically, from sexually transmitted diseases and many more.
For the woman: Don't you know that guy YOU feel entitled to because he is giving you attention, the one that is undressing you without committing to you, to crawl inside you and defile you pre-marriage is someone else's brother, son, one day HUSBAND, and a CREATION of GOD!
Do you really desire marriage?! Because in letting other men enter into your body LITERALLY you are creating a barrier in your marriage. Your marriage bed is being polluted with other bits of soul ties you are creating by making covenants with these men who are LOST and lack real love, because they do NOT know the creator of LOVE..Jesus!
"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral" Hebrews 13:4Do you really desire marriage?! Yes, I will be judged and if you have been sexually immoral you will be judged by God on judgment day.
For the men: Women bare life. Do you forget where YOU came from? A woman. And that same women you choose to please your selfish desire is to bare life to another one of God's creatures. You may ask then, Janet how do I please this desire of wanting to be sexually pleased, well here:
"But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband." 1 Corinthians 7:2 "It's better to marry than to burn with lust." 1 Corinthians 2:9 MARRY men. And listen you don't need to have your entire life together! Have a means to provide for yourself, give your life to Jesus, and pray for a woman to love on and in turn she will love you!
For the woman: I would have never met the amazing brother, that now has the intention of entering courtship with me in the future if I had a boyfriend, or a random guy, or yes guys in those romance novels or fantasies from TV that became an idol! Ladies we need to stop dropping our standards. We drop them because we no longer communicate or consult the maker of the Love we so desire, GOD! Ladies you need to detach from these men that you are giving your body and wife lovin' to, because only the man that's CHOOSING to commit to you, deserves you! The pleasure of sex outside of marriage should not outweigh the pleasure of JESUS, the one man that truly died for you, and blur your vision of the continuous love you will gain from an earthly man God created for you as a promise for obeying HIM!
OH and the PRETEEN WOMAN & MEN: With young folk, committing sex at 13,14,15. Don't you know to "flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." Timothy 2:22 and "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 GOD is not saying these things to deprive you of the "fun" you may think the boys and girls doing whatever they want sexual, it's to build you up for the rest of life, and assure you fleeing from lusts of the eyes and the body, helps you get into a relationship here on earth that TRUELY resembles the love of Christ and the church!
HE has done it for me, and he can do it for you! God can set you free from the cycle of sexual perversion and immorality. You no longer have to feel shameful and disgusted at yourself. You no longer have to be subject to your body and flesh! You no longer have to feel discontent, but so content that God will bring you someone to meet all your earthly desires and needs in his timing AFTER you have been totally faithful to him.
1st Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
God is giving you a means to escape. And TODAY, if you can humble yourself, confess your sins, and ask Jesus to come in, he will forgive you, wash you clean and give you the strength and grace to remain pure for the rest of your life or till he presents to you a beautiful man or woman of the opposite sex to bless you with selfless love here on earth, to enter into a life long beautiful convenient of marriage. YOU are worth better, YOU deserve the best, YOU are beautiful, and YOU are worth the wait!

DeleteGood article, but I want to mention the great risks of being in relationships these days, especially due to the laws in place.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, no fault divorce. The church at large isn't any better than the world with regards to this and other forms of sexual immorality.
What are we to do? Life long celibacy seems hard.
