By God's grace for me that wasn't my thinking, but I did expect by living for Christ I would be able to withstand temptation and uphold his commandments. What I have learned is that's exactly what God seeks to do for us. He doesn't promise that we won't be tempted, he certainly doesn't promise the cravings of the old man would go away, but he does say with him he gives us an escape to never indulge, that although we may get those sexual urges, imaginations of future rendezvous, wet dreams and so forth it will never overtake us for us to get up, act on it or let it consume out hearts. Like it says in:
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
&
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I want to tell you to my virgins, non-virgins, sisters and brothers who have exposed themselves to porn, sexual perversion, skype sex, sexting, phone sex, masturbation if you still have urges and thoughts to re-live those moments of sinful ecstasy don't condemn yourself! Just pray , stand on your identity with Christ and the thoughts will flee. I have had the same thoughts, others who have come into Christ and have now taken a vow of abstinence till marriage have the thoughts, and virgins who have been exposed to the things above have the thoughts. The thoughts aren't the problem, do not feel condemned, but there is a way to channel it and to allow God's redemption, grace and peace to truly over take you and help you.
I would like to encourage you with this story:
A brother in his mid 30's shared a very profound testimony with me. He gave his life to Christ when he was 14 years of age. From the time he was 17 he started to have wet dreams, he would fantasize with being with woman in over night and day dream. But he knew he could not commit fornication and have pre-marital sex, so he never indulged in his fantasies, he waited on the Lord and prayed for his future wife. Wrongfully he came into an encounter with one of many pastors who tell people wet dreams are only demonic. they can be ; that any man who is more than able to engage sexually with a girl at 14 are demonic for wanting to engage in that act by having wet dreams. (MEN, WOMAN, I want to let you know it is a normal occurrence to have wet dreams, there is nothing demonic about them[ http://teens.webmd.com/boys/wet-dream-faq] ) Continuing on, that encounter helped him defer marriage longer than he knew he should have, but he eventually got married and now he no longer has to suffer through wet dream, they have ceased, he can now enjoy and release himself natural with his beautiful wife.
The moral of the story is to encourage you and tell you the desire to be loved in that intimate way is normal. But the devil knows that desire brings chemical stimulants of happiness in your brain, so he will try to lure your lusts into going back to your vomit of pre-marital sex, masturbation and the sorts. We must fight the devil back, we must pray, be vigilant and be sober.
Our prayer should no more be, God take this desire of sex away, but it should be:
God prepare my heart and mind to grow more in love with you, to wait patiently for the spouse you made for me, so within marriage I can be able to enjoy the beautiful creation of Sex that helps deepen my spouse and I's love. To live by Romans 12:2 to not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.Father help me, In Jesus Name AMEN
I am right here walking this journey with you, I love you just as much as God loves you. Keep strong. I am praying for you <3
