When you've Fallen

Happy Happy Happy New Year to you! I pray however you celebrated the ushering in of the new year, that you had a blessed and enjoyable time. I was in the presence of the Lord,with my church, Deeper Life Bible Church of New Jersey. It was a great time. I pray whatever your desire is for this New Year, it will be granted to you in Jesus name. If your desire is to get to know more of God, I pray he grants you the wisdom in Jesus name!

So this blog is entitled when you've fallen, and to be honest with you, I told a lie on December 2nd 2013. I am not even going to justify it as a white lie., I won't go into much details but many would have said it was a white lie, because it may not have hurt anyone. What I observed though is through out that week I told two more lies. Why do I remember them? Why is it a big deal? Because I noticed I had backslide, I had allowed a minuet sin to easily roll off my tongue, and even though I uttered "sorry Jesus" I didn't really REPENT, seek God's face to ask God to really strip me away from the spirit of lying in a culture where lying is a norm! I blogged earlier on, what little sin can do in ones life HERE, if it is not cut down and dealt with. Sin can spread and grow, a little gateway for sin creates a spark, and then a fire is lite and other sin can creep in and a full blown fire is created. What does sin lead to?

Romans 6:15

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sin leads to death! Death spiritually, death in love, death in thoughts, aspirations, and ultimately physical death!

So I had realized I had fallen, and to continue to have an intimate relationship with Jesus something had to change. So brother, sister, have you done something that's not pleasing to God? You were doing so well in your walk at one point, and BAM you slip up, you feel the conviction and start to feel maybe condemned, weak, guilty?

STOP.

First off this is NOT the time to to feel weak, repent-full yes, not weak, because you gave yourself to receiving salvation, therefore you rely on God's strength and he has enough of his grace to overwhelm and heal you.

1. So like me that first step you take when you've noticed you've fallen off the wagon, whether it be lying, stealing, porn, masturbation, anger, pre-marital sex, adultery, drinking alcohol, murder ,

hatred whatever, is ACKNOWLEDGING YOU WERE WRONG. No, the devil, mama, sister, brother, aunty, girlfriend, boyfriend didn't make you do it. You did it on your own! So admit to it.

2. Go on your knees and repent, tell Jesus, thank him for his awesome strength and grace, and ask him for forgiveness for where you've fallen. Don't do it with a prideful heart but truly humble yourself because he is graceful to forgive you, and give you the strength to continue an intimate relationship with him.

3. RENEW YOUR MIND in the area you have fallen. I would like to say though, if you call yourself a Christian and you repeatedly fall into a sin; For example you have a boyfriend/girlfriend both of you say you are born again but continue to have sex, then you are not Born again and need to truly give your life to Christ, believe in Jesus, and run from the temptation! But we fall because we haven't trained our thinking to live a pure, righteous, and holy life that God has called us to live.

Romans 12:2

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

So, pull out your bible and do a study on the area you need renewing on. I looked up scriptures on lying. Also then pray, pray , pray the scriptures in, pray and ask God for help. God hears the prayers of the righteous and you are righteous because you've repented :) If you need additional council, seek a friend who is Born-Again and or wise counsel like an elder or pastor to shed more insight and to pray and agree with you!

4. And what I did was just sit before the Lord, talk about it to a best friend you have or really close sister or brother in Christ. Reflect on why Jesus truly came on this earth, and also maybe re-read the story of Jesus's death and Resurrection. Its so beautiful to take time out after an episode like this for the Lord. Its awesome, and God may speak to you through this.

Sister, Brother your walk with Christ is not alone. I am here walking with you, must importantly you have the helper the Holy Spirit and Jesus walking alongside with you. When you fall? get back up again. Again this blog is not to excuse repeated sin, but to know if you have fallen, you must push forward, renew your mind and pray it doesn't happen again. God has a divine purpose he wants to fulfill in each and everyone of our lives! Let your body be a living sacrifice always, holy and acceptable unto him in all things <3
