How do I know my passion?

A great way to know your purpose, passion, and major for school is to think about what you constantly think about. What makes you constantly jot down ideas about, and what makes you happy thinking about.

For me I am constantly thinking and God is placing on my spirit topics on the Kingdom of God, Marriage/Relationships, Law, and Public Health(Mental Health).

This is a sure way to know God's will!

Don't let another day be wasted, think about it, pray about it. If you are doing something that you don't think about through out the day, you may want to reconsider.

The Truth about Deliverance

Friday, February 14th 2014

There is a lot of confusion in regards to Deliverance. What God's views are and the ministry that many have fallen in-slaved to, spending money and un-necessary time, ultimately not understanding their birth-right in Jesus Christ.

I came across this webiste that included a LIST (CLICK TO VIEW) of characteristics that warranted one to need Deliverance. Simple things of normality, these ministers have identified one is being pursued by demonic spirits, therefore they need Deleiverance. It would take me a whole day to go through each individually, but I will address one or two. A sister who had a difficult pregnancy needs deliverance? In Genesis 3:16 the Lord professed due to the entering of sin in the world, the process of birth will cause great pain. Therefore a sister having a difficult pregnancy is not demonic and therefore deliverance is Not needed.  A person who is engaged in profitless hardwork needs deliverance? I mean there are statistics that show a person who starts their own buisness may labor for years before they gain profit. Does that really mean they are demonic and therefore need deliverance? NO!

What is deliverance you ask?

Deliverance is defined as "a rescue from bondage or danger."  Deliverance is defined differently in the Old and New Testament. In the Old testmant deleiverance is viewed as the act of God removing people whom were in the midst of trouble of danger. In the New Testament, God is the subject and his people are always the object of deliverance. The descriptions of temporal deliverance in the Old Testament which is what many of these deliverance ministries use, serve as symbolic representations of the spiritual deliverance from sin which is available only through Christ.

Deliverance is not done by works. It's not done by prayer sessions, jumping up and down, physicial sacrifice and vain babbling. If you need deliverance which we all do before we become Born Again, not due to the list mentioned above, it is gained through the great deliverer.

Who is the great deliverer?

The great deliverer is Jesus Christ. By receiving, believing, and following his commandments, He offers deliverance from mankind’s greatest peril—sin, evil, death and judgment. By God’s power, we are delivered from this present evil age and from the power of Satan’s reign.

Galatians 1:4

Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father

Colossians 1:13

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son

1 John 3:8

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Luke 10:19

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

When we come into Christ however we are given a new life, we are given a new birth. Just like a baby is newly born and needs to learn how to speak and walk, we too as new believers need to learn God's heart, mind, and gain knowledge in spiritual things. In renewing our mind the sins we once loved start to  be distasteful because we understand it is displeasing to God. Therefore deliverance is temporal. You are not demonic if you still find yourself struggling with a sin, you need to take it to the Lord, fast, pray and God surely will take it away.

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If you know your right in Christ do you still need deliverance?

No! I have heard when you come into Christ, due to the ancestors we once had one needs deliverance to break away demonic chains. It's all wrong! Jesus truly did that for you on the cross. You can pray to God to hear your cries, but it doesn't warrant you to be demonic! It’s important to understand that, as believers, we already have eternal victory over Satan and demons. We can be delivered from their influence in our lives by using two weapons God has given us as part of our spiritual armor with which we battle “against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. The believer needs to defend himself or herself with the shield of faith and use the offensive weapon of the Word of God. Against these two, no spirit can prevail. By holding up the shield of faith, we extinguish the flaming spiritual arrows they send against us, arrows of lust, doubt, guilt, jealousy, evil speech, and all manner of temptations. With the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, we overcome the evil one by proving his temptations to be lies because he is the father of lies. John’s second letter commends the young Christians whose spiritual strength came from the Word of God living in them. By the offensive weapon of the Truth, we overcome the evil one.

Ephesians 6:12-17

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

1 John 2:14

14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

Deliverance comes through Jesus Christ. You don't have to wrestle with whatever you are dealing with inward alone. There was one who did all for you on the Cross. Truly come to him and believe <3

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 Peter 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

I AM PRAYING AND STANDING IN AGREEMENT WITH YOU. I LOVE YOU.

What you think, may not be God's best.

Friday, February 14th 2014

I thought he was "the one" (prob the 5th time I have said that about a guy). He told me because we had been friends for a year he was really impressed with me; he was in pursuit of a wife and therefore he felt I would make a great wife. He was in his thirties and I was 20. I was single. I had just broken up with a brother who was Born-Again but I couldn't understand why he wanted to be my bf, but didn't want to see me, he said it was to avoid fornication, to me it just didn't seem right plus I wasn't Born-Again, my heart was still full of lust, so what did I know.

Moving on...

So Mr. takes me out on a weekend extravaganza and again let's me know his intent with me. I liked the attention therefore I went. I didn't accept his offer to be his girlfriend that weekend though, but in a month I did. He kept pursuing me, I desired marriage and the attention, therefore I accepted the offer. Finally, I felt this dating thing would be over. I truly felt I had met my husband. He made it clear that was the end goal, came to my house to meet my mom and was making plans to meet my dad.
If you were my facebook friend you should have seen all the pictures of us. I sure was not about that "don't make it official till its certified" life, back then. I was a mess. But that mess didn't stop that desire for artificial love from my Mr. though.
Ok. So that love may have been real. In our times of partying, cooking, fornication, traveling there were times that 1st Corinthians 13 type of love could have been displayed. But it's clear in the bible, God says:

John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

We went to church together and therefore I thought he was God's best for me. But when I received Jesus Christ into my life, November 25th, 2012; I knew what I thought was God's best for me, wasn't Gods best. Why? Because if I, or Mr. truly loved God we would keep his commandments. We would not be dating behind my parents back, meaning without a formal introduction to parents; we would not be fornicating when the bible says flee fornication; and we would have constantly been in fellowship with the Lord.I knew that day I had to break up with him. I left the comfort of a future marriage God did not approve, to truly serve the Lord.We went back and fourth for a month, on how he was also on a purist to receive the Lord. But the bible is clear:

Psalm 1:1-2

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

I was brought into the light, therefore I had to let go of the darkness.Yes I cared for Mr. but he had to gain his personal pursuit of the Lord, and seek him on his own. I had to pass the test to let him find the Lord on his own.

Sister or brother, who or what do you feel or think is God's best for you. God's best, matches up with the Word of God. By reading the bible you are able to approve what is just, pure, and acceptable in his sight. God would not lead you to be a thief and say because you have no food you need to steal today, some may say that's God's best for the person, but no ,indeed God will provide and that's not his best.

Today on Valentine's day I am not sure, who or what you think is God's best. Is that relationship you are in right now God's best? Is the brother or sister you are friends with God's best? Is your attitude God's best? Is your clothing God's best.  Is your job or choice of study God's best? But you will know what is Gods best, by the fruit that's being displayed on the tree.

Matthew 7:15-20

Ye shall know them(it) by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

My challenge to you today is to seek God's face. To come out of any filth you have identified as not being Gods best for you. When you truly let go of that which is not God's best then God will bring or reveal what truly is to you.

I am standing and praying in agreement with you.

Just Listen

If you listen well, people generally will tell you who they are before you get involved in a relationship and (courtship if its for marriage). But more times than not when they begin to warn us of their weaknesses and what to expect, we jump in with our motivational,"Oh No, that can`t be true, (s)he still has potential" thoughts and encourage them to move forward with us. We need to learn the priceless art of listening to people without interrupting them. It will save us.

If we just listen, you save yourself years of tears and secret disappointments and many negative experiences. Rather than using your optimist and persuasive style to coerce them into accepting your goals and objectives, you need to know that they cannot become something just because you believe they can. They cannot run off off your fuel. They must posses their own faith for the many challenges that are always along the way to accomplishment. It is a bad sign if you have to jump-start them every day.

Without your awareness of this problem, these high maintenance relationships can wear you and exhaust your strength for years. Whether in private professional relationships, if you have to keep motivating to get started, you will have to motivate to maintain. If you listen, you can then decide whether it`s worth the effort to take on the relationships in the first place.
