Why we WOMAN need protection

Monday June 2nd, 2014

Imagine this. You are honored to be married. You conceive and because you are married you have no thoughts of aborting but choose to keep the baby. The baby is full term and ready to come out of the womb.As the baby is coming out through the birth canal and then the vaginal walls it happens to OPEN up it's eyes. The baby will be revealed as to how many men's privates had entered into your vaginal walls. Will the baby be able to say it's just been your husband, her father or will she be confused and witness men from middle school, highschool, and times when maybe you felt ENTITLED to sleep with boys in college and beyond, featured within your vaginal walls?

A lack of protection and wise counsel will and has lead many of us woman to find comfort between our legs and the most intimate parts of our hearts.

As woman according to God's views of us we are special, queens, far above rubies, fragile and to therefore to be handled with care. God made in place three forms of protection, for us woman to gladly take advantage of, to use, so we are not to be misguided and abused.

The First of these protections is God through his son Jesus Christ.  I understand some of you reading this already know God and by His grace know him through the Lord Jesus Christ, the ONLY way to Him. But you may not understand what is meant when he seeks to protect us woman. The psalmist David writes in;

Psalm 91:1-2

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Think of God like that guy with open arms that you know gives great heart felt hugs and is there to ward off the jerks that come about in this world; that's how God is and that's what he seeks to be for us woman who choose to yield to him, take upon his ways, and forsake our worldly life, thoughts, and actions. He truly wants to be the guy you talk to on that phone call...to heaven all night long as your refuge... and the guy you spend all weekend with  on that campsite , as your fortress. God the protector that will never gossip about you and in whom you can truly trust.

How do you get to come to be so intimate with our Almighty God? Even those who have confessed their sins and became Born Again still struggle with feeling close to Him. (I have yet to write a blog on how I spend time with God but I will.) All there is to it is opening up the Holy Scriptures and reading, meditating, and studying them. Learning Gods words for yourself will assure you of how special, worthy, and well respected you are to carry yourself. God will heal you, comfort you,and convict you to run away from those sins like sexual perversion that will not only ruin your life but ruin your one singular body.

1 Corinthians 6:18

18 Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

The Second protection we as woman are to have are our fathers and additional brothers that are birthed from your earthly father. Sometimes I have to remind us woman it took two to make us, a man and a woman, a sperm from the father and an egg from the mother. Therefore, although moms have been deemed more maternal towards the children as it even encourages in scriptures, a fathers touch, love, discipline and protection is vital in a woman's life. A Father is to be the second in command to God. After running to God to cry and be joyful with, she is to run to her father and do the same.A father is to be a part of major decisions in her life such as schooling, marriage, moving, courtship and such. As woman we are to provide access in allowing our father to be active in our lives if our fathers aren't actively wanting to be involved. You must understand our fathers are men, and so they  have a manly, unique perspective to this world. It's something we woman will NEVER get, we weren't wired as men, as much as many of us like to claim we can be both men and woman. Truth is we can't. Many fathers I have learned, want to be involved and aren't given the outlets to. When it comes to knowing our self-worth, our fathers help to ward of the cunning men who want to rob us of our dignity, and the men that we are so desperate for that we are only cheating our own-selves as woman. Our fathers are called to pray with us and are called to provide for us, something we are to look for in our future husband. I further expounded on the role of Christian fathers in this blog. As an older brother or younger brother you are second after your father. Your father may not be on instagram, or on the school campus where you and your sisters are. Look out for her, assure her of her beauty and her worth, so other guys in the world won't.

For those that don't have fathers, or have fathers who are inactive, the bible lets us know in

Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do good. Seek justice.Help the oppressed.Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

James 1:27

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world

Those who identify as members of the body of Christ as Christians and are a part of the church are to take on those without fathers. So sister you are to find a church home, not find total comfort in your guy friends, courting partner, or whomever. Join a church, get acquainted with the Pastor and the first family, his wife and children. They will be able to pour into you Gods love, which is what you truly need to fulfill your life's calling and purpose and to keep your body under subjection. <3

The Third and last protection God is calling for  woman to have is our husband. I know some will say well not every woman is called to be married. Well that is true but my deepest desire is to see every woman with the desire to marry, get married in the Lord and have this beautiful protection of a husband that's being lead by God and not his own earthly will. In one of my favorite passages in the bible it lets us know,
For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. (Ephesians 5:23). In Ephesians 5:22 and 24 it further reads Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord; Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. For our husbands to truly be our beautiful protector we must submit to him as his wife. We must respect him. Not doing this makes his protection null and void and you will feel confused and misused. There is no way around it. In this same chapter the Lord commands the husbands to love and cherish us, so in our submission to them we are able to enjoy his admonition. In that we draw strength, feel appreciated, loved, and are able to live this singular life in peace and hope till we go to heaven. It's such a beautiful protection and my prayer is for every sister to enjoy it and or continue to enjoy it if already married.

Yes we woman are strong, we are able to be independent, smart, witty, and God knows this, He made us. We misunderstand our worth and the strength and powers we have can be used for good or for harm. We are seriously princess and queens in God's eyes and that why he has these protections in place to ensure we live the BEST LIFE.

For those who may have never heard of these protections or of the Lord Jesus Christ, today is your day to be able to receive him newly into your heart, or rededicate your life to him. Jesus did not come to win more of the already saved and righteous, but for sinners. Woman who have already  slept with multiple men when He wants and has called us to keep our bodies for our husband; Or woman with anger, drunkenness or whatever. If you also don't feel beautiful or worthy God wants to be your covering and wants to pour lovely thoughts in your ears. All you have to do is confess all your sins and wrong doings and say through your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, pick up the bible and walk in your victory. Congratulations and welcome into the kingdom of God!

In lieu of writing and starting a series entitled "What habits  do you support" that I know will really bless you all as much as it blessed me in hearing and writing what the Lord showed to me; I was lead to speak on the protection we woman need. I pray you were able to learn from this.
Thank you for reading! Please Share. God bless you!

So you want to Get Married? (Marriage Committee: What is that?!)

Thursday August 15th, 2013

Ok, so I met this guy. He is really really good looking..Oh God help me he is FYNE. He is Born Again, like he is a genuine Born Again Christian, so you know how I love men of GOD...they are the Leaders of our future home. Ok so he has his bills together, he is educated and so smart! Girl he has everything on my LIST. He loves to work out, eat nice food, pray, plus he is a member of my church! And bonus the conversations are so good! God have mercy, I feel something, I need to start praying, help me pray sis.

PAUSE

This is a typical conversation of many of us Christian Girls when we first meet a guy and some of us even say OH, "I def saw the will of God", "he is my Husband", I mean ok you may have seen the will of God but then you question if he really is the will because based on your feelings ALONE he qualifies.

GIRL SLOW DOWN, SLOW YOUR ROLL. Let's talk a bit:

I totally understand, this has happened to me. Maybe it's even happening to me now lol. Difference is though I am laying my feelings totally at the feet of Jesus are you?

Sis, I understand marriage is a big desire of yours, even though you are pursing the things of Christ wholeheartedly like (Matthew 6:33), you still pray for God to protect your husband till he finds you. Although you may desire marriage, sis it's not to be taken lightly by ANY-MEANS. It's not to be labeled and thrown on any guy that may meet all your checks and check nots. It's not a thing to enter if you haven't gotten certain things done and completed.

So you want to be married? Let me share with you some biblical principles on what you need to do before you should think about marriage and to entertain a guy as more than a church friend or brother in Christ...because if you and this "church brother in Christ" are really enjoying talking and looking at each other, if he says God saw the will of God in marrying  are you ready to drop your entire SINGLE life to marry him, submit to him and really die of your flesh, wants and needs daily?!

       1. You MUST be a Born Again Christian:

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Once you become a  born again Christian you allow God to be your everything. He starts plucking and weeding out the bad in your life and replacing it with the Good. He starts to show you submission you'll need to submit to your husband, as you submit to God's will and commandments. There are things God may show you that your husband may not show you when you get into an argument in courtship and marriage. You must be really in tune with your spirit.  A couple that stays together PRAYS together. Prayer only can be done effectively when you have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

       2. You must be be able to hear God's voice:

John 5:30

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Now we are living for Jesus, our old life is done away with and now we are new creatures. We must now understand, nothing including mere friendship, courting and marriage must not be done without Gods consent. You have to be able to clearly hear from God. I am not saying look for a thunderstorm a burning bush, or something real DRAMATIC to know it's God. God simply works in subtle ways. Not having peace when God is the king of peace is a sign something is not right and needs to be looked into. Whatever God has used in your life to show you something, God can and will use that. Just remember though, God asks you to listen and obey him in little things before he will trust you with bigger things.

       3. GET your education and purpose as a SINGLE person right:

Proverbs 31: 13
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
Proverbs 31:24
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

Listen this was me; I knew I wanted to finish college before marrying. But I am thinking ok I can meet my husband now in college and then by the time I finish college, we'll have courted gotten to know each other and marry. THIS IS not entirely wrong but ladies you need to understand God does not encourage a long courtship period, examples of people dating for 5,6 years before marrying  may be done because of unforeseen circumstances. Courtship, getting to know each other is done with the intention of marrying soon because you are working towards it. Sexual temptation will come and it's REAL. Look at the world now, so many people lose their virginity before High School! So in saying that to be an increase not a deficit but an asset to your marriage you must endeavor to finish part of education before entertaining a guy. You must understand what God has called you to do in your single life besides pursuing motherhood and tending a lovely home when married. FORGET that marriage where one spouse dropped his schooling because God called him to preach. Forget that example of that wife that dropped out of college and now is blessed to be a stay at home wife. Those people had their own calling on their lives. You are different. Understand God wants the best for you, to be a proverbs 31 woman, a woman who uses her hands to work and makes wealth, you do just that and finish your education. If you are no where near complete with school, sis your boy of interest and person you most contact should be JESUS CHRIST ONLY.

Those are the three critical things you really need to ask yourself sis. Have you done all 3? If so, do you feel ready for God to bring your husband to you? If so, you may then meet someone that God ministers to you and matches God's will for you, then God knew the time is perfect. Go ahead and start courtship to lead into marriage;  Then start to share you heart and intimate moments with him. Start to pray, do bible study, and talk about the future together. I want to share with you this really awesome process my Church uses to help guide you once you may have found the will of marriage for you. It's called the Marriage Committee.

So basically you don't come to the marriage committee when this person has proposed to you and you already skipped the intent of this committee. This committee helps you, by praying with you about the will of God, God has revealed to you in your private prayer. Once you hear God minister to you about a person, feelings spiritually and not only physical have been birthed you approach the marriage committee at my church and they start to pray with you! They intercede to God on your behalf because, listen SIS marriage is FOR LIFE, so prayers from righteous people are important! Once the marriage committee has also confirmed with you he is the one, they let the pastor know and he also prays. The committee discourages brother and sister relations before the marriage committee process is over. Listen at this point sis, if that man is for you, what God has for you will be for you, so don't fear if the committee or Pastor say no. After all these confirmations they approach the guy and let him know the will of God for him concerning you, and then he also prays about it. I have heard many stories in which the Guy also heard Gods will for you sis. So truly when you do things GOD's way, God will truly bless you!

Sister rest in Jesus. Cherish your single years. Have your butterflies and heart flutters come from Jesus. Your husband in Christ will find you without all the temporary theatrics the world uses.

Psalm 37:7

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:

COMMISSIONED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL

   Wednesday August 14th, 2013.

Hello everyone. I wanted to blog about this on Monday, August 12th. But I was consumed with reading the word and fell asleep from my Occupy Earth bible study(I will be blogging on Biblical Fellowship a little later).

Anyway all day, this past Monday I was feeling a sort of heartache. A strong pull in my heart, and chest. This was not something physical but spiritual. So I did what I knew to do which was to kneel, sit in front of my bible and start reading. I also needed and did start praying. I read the chapters of Mark I had intended to read and really study. I then attempted to read the assigned reading for my Monday night Occupy Earth Bible Study, it was on Acts 8. I read through it and I knew it was about preaching and Phillip preaching. Honestly I remembered from when I had read it two weeks ago when I was praying to be baptized by the Holy Ghost & Tongues and received it. I couldn't really focus on the Acts 8 reading because my heart was really aching and I knew God was really trying to tell me something.

Anyway, I was also abstaining from a couple things, therefore dying of my flesh  so I was really in tune with the spirit. At the usual time, my sisters and I headed out to our Occupy Earth bible study. We get there and those who had arrived were already singing songs, so I joined in. I started to feel a little ease but the ache was still there. After songs our group leader Ebenezer starts to lead prayers, so I naturally start praying, he then starts to sing this hymn that goes :

Where he leads me, I will follow
Or
Where he calls me, I will follow

Something like that...and I IMMEDIATELY started CRYING, I could no longer contain my emotions. It was around 7:30PM and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ finally revealed to me, I needed to take his calling and take up the cross from just behind Social Media and on the school campus but to now preach the gospel unashamed on the streets. I immediately started thanking God and letting him know I will follow!

Funny enough a couple things happened before this day:

  • I had been having vision/dreams about me preaching in a particular park for some while now, but never went. (This happened to be the first Park I went to go preach the word, you'll see in the video)
  • A lovely brother of mine, a member of my church, blessed with the gift of Prophetic and Visions saw a vision of me in a picture being pointed to by a famous preacher. So essentially I will be used by God to preach his word(something I have been praying since I became born again in November 2012)
God is truly amazing! I am just in awe of him. I am so blessed to know him, be saved by  him, and to be  used for his awesome work and glory!

HERE IS A RECAP OF DAY 1(Aug. 13th) on the mission field to win souls for JESUS!!!!!!

Letter: Dear Dad

Below you will find an open letter for fathers everywhere. I am writing this in a way to convict any brother or sister reading this, as well as to bring glory to God. Here it goes..

Dear Dad,

We look up to you for examples on how we will be treated by the men in  our lives.  So, please, please, please, love your wife! A well loved mother really is one of the best gifts you can give to me. I am looking unto your marriage covenant as the standard of marriage. How you treat your wife is how I'll expect to be treated in my own marriage someday, which means you need to be showcasing marriage as it is presented in the scriptures: Christ (the husband) sacrificially loving and dying for His bride, the church (the wife). Good, godly dads will desire THE very best for me we thank God, but your marriage must be backing that up! Its incredibly confusing to tell me to wait for a man who faithfully loves and cherishes me, when I turn around and don't see you doing so with my mother. It's hypocritical and causes major trust issues. You are the first love of my life. I look up to you as my hero! So set the standard high for the man I am marry by being that type of man from the very beginning. "Be the standard she judges all men against." Prove to me that there are men who are trustworthy. Show me that there are good men in the world and I deserve to be treated with the utmost honor, respect, dignity, and love. Actively pursue my heart by taking me out on dates!  And as I grow up, constantly remind me of my great value, worth, and beauty (always tell your daughter that she's beautiful). If I know and feel this, I in turn will learn to value and cherish myself as well.

Protect and Provide for Her.
Make sure I always know I am safe and secure with you. That I can always come to you for anything and everything with the expectation that you will lovingly take care of and help me, hear me out, and extend grace. You should be the one I run to when I cry. When the world feels like it's crashing in (and it will feel like that to her as she gets older) be that protector and defender that God has called you to be! You've been called to be my provider in regards to her physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Always be for me, not against me, and after my greatest joy.

Encourage and Teach Her.
Be involved in my education, and I mean that in every regard. Know how I doing in school and encourage me to do well. Challenge me to grow in me hobbies and interests. Help me to gain confidence and wisdom in what I love. Show me how to treat others and what to value.

Bless and Delight in Her.
Being a dad can be a super fun job. I'm all for parents treating their kids. After all, don't you think God treats His kids beyond what they deserve? I'm pretty convinced He does. Our Heavenly Father desires to give us good gifts and bless us in ways particular to each of us. More and more I think dads should just have fun with their kids. Jesus was fun!

Pastor Her
Pray over and with me, read the Bible stories, go to church, and ask what she's learning about Jesus. You've been called to be the spiritual leader of your home. Engage with your daughter's walk with the Lord throughout her entire life. As a parent your job will be to reflect the love of Christ to your daughter and teach her to walk in His ways.

Make Her a Priority.
Don't put your work above me. Learn when to say "no" to your work and hobbies in order to be present in my life. Make it a point to be at as many recitals, concerts, games, birthday, and events as possible. By doing so you're showing me that family really is more important than work and that I am of high value to you and your time.

Tonight nearly half of the children in this country will go to be without their daddies tucking them into bed and kissing them goodnight. This is a travesty. Maybe some of you grew up in that home yourself. Or the father God gave you wounded you deeplyMy heart goes out to you and I know God grieves over this greatly. I'm not excusing your earthly father's behavior whatsoever, but I also want you to know that Christ has not called you to follow down that same path. Christ is summoning you to be a better man. Christ has called all men to parent their children well, just as He parents His children. As an earthly father you'll bear the great responsibility of showcasing many of the attributes of the Heavenly Father to your child. This is not to be taken lightly. Be that man God has called you to be for your daughter, for she will be a sweet and precious gift that the Lord has entrusted to you. Rely on His strength and grace to help you when the time comes. When the ball finally gets passed to you, don't drop it.

40% Of females turn to Sexual Perversion just because of a lack of a strong father figure in their life.   We must do better.

If you are a father and you realize you are in error. It's not too late for you to turn around. But you must understand it's not by your wisdom and grace alone that you can be a better father to your daughter. You must repent of your wrong doing and receive Jesus into your life. After that you must then go back to your daughters and apologize and start living the mentioned above.

If you are a man but not yet married, make sure you understand the responsibility that comes with having a child, especially a daughter! You must make sure you too have received Jesus into your life so by God's grace he can help you raise daughters that wont be found at clubs, and in sexual perverse circles but daughters that love God and respect themselves.

If you are a daughter and realize your earthly father has not done the above, and you miss his presence in your life, you too must receive Jesus into your life. Jesus is the best father. But pray for your earthly father if you still have one. God will change him.

Feeling Lonely, Frustrated, a lot on your mind?

This has been me these past couple of days. Feelings of loneliness, frustration, and  a lot of thoughts on my mind. I just want to remind you sis or brother that when you have the joy of the Lord, it's forever there and you must subject your flesh to the joy God has placed upon you. These are the times where you need to mediate on the word harder, pray harder and seclude yourself to be with just the Lord. I thank God I came out victorious. I didn't lose site of my purpose God has created for me, and the promises I desire, and look forward to receiving for serving him.
This message really helped me today. I pray it blesses you. Love you all <3

Healing Hands: A Saturday of Service

Upon being saved, meaning becoming a born again Christian, every believer is immediately given two ministries. One is praying and the other is sharing the gospel, the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died for our sins on the cross at Calvary. In the Word of God, the bible, Jesus himself says:

Luke 18:1

 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Evangelism is very important. How else would I have known Jesus came to tell me I no longer had to be boggled down by my past, he has instructions to aid all of us in this life, and the promises he has for us eternally once we die? It was only through someone opening their mouth, hosting an event and telling me about the Gospel.

I am the leader of Pinky Promise Northern NJ, a group for single and married women who have made a promise to honor God with their entire lives. While single to stay sexually pure till marriage and while married to let their husbands lead their household. God placed in my heart to reach out to minister to this particular Woman's Shelter, the Apostle House in Newark NJ. Without confirming a date with the shelter I made this flyer, emailed them a proposal letter introducing myself and started praying for God to intercede on my behalf.

Yes, without confirming the date with the Shelter I made the flyer in late June. I had been contacting them since early June/late May though. By God's grace the week before July 20th they confirmed it would be ok for us to visit the Woman at the Apostle House and fellowship with them! Prayer works yall!

The demographics of the Apostle House in Newark, NJ encompasses minority woman mostly mothers in their twenties to early thirties. Most have 2 or more small children. The Shelter can hold up to 11 women and their children (both male and female). The quarters are tight but aesthetically pleasing and safely located on the outskirts of Newark.

My vision for the day was to let the woman there know they are loved by God. To let them know although they might be in their current situation, by having the lord lead their lives they were able to receive a better future. I planned for us all to make cards with scriptures written inside, to remind them of God's love; also to write letters talking to God to affirm God hears them. I also wanted me and other Pinky Promise Girls to share our testimonies and how God really helped us.

So, on July 20th the event was awesome. I was being lead to buy breakfast for the event. I am so glad I did because I was told by the lovely receptionist Jackie, on the weekends, the mothers were on their own in regards to food. The lord always puts the right things in your heart! About eleven residents both women and children joined us. We started with an opening prayer and had about 20 minutes to get and start eating breakfast.

(Ladies and children getting breakfast)

Due to the fact many of the women had their children with them, involving them in arts, crafts and letter writing deemed difficult because they were watching their children. My amazing Pinky Promise Sister Ebony suggested while we make the cards for the residents, we share our testimonies and open up the floor to the residents to share their encounters with God. This was amazing, many of the ladies opened up about their past and how they were lead to the Apostle House. Many like Ameera, a mother of 3 girls were grateful for the Apostle House although they desired to have their own space very soon. Even the children talked freely about their hurts in living in a shelter but reminded us to count our blessings because at least they were alive and well. My sister Bernice Songonuga, whom just got saved by becoming born-again a couple weeks ago, shared amazing scriptures of healing, perseverance, and the strength of the Lord with the ladies. Her testimony was also received very well by the Residents.

(On the far left is PPsister Ebony, some residents at the Apostle House(Marquette,Ameera, Eyicah) , on the far right my Sister Bernice)

(On the far left is PPsister Ebony, some residents at the Apostle House(Marquette,Ameera, Eyicah) , on the far right my Sister Bernice)

The ladies also asked us about certain situations and if the bible and God had answers. Tye, specifically a mother of 2 asked how she could better her relationships with her parents. Gladly we all answered and refereed her to Matthew 10, read it and advised her to forgive any hurt her parents have done to her; build her relationship with God and ask him for more wisdom in relation with her parents.
We ended with individual prayers for every single women. I was blessed to pray for Mary a 60 year old resident at the shelter.
Her prayer request was for her illness to go away. She explained all her family was in Haiti while she started crying. Mary, my sister Bernice, and I prayed, touched and agreed all will be well with her.

It reads in
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokeenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

That's exactly what I endeavored to do on July 20, 2013 and for the rest of my life. Join me in gaining the spirit or peace, joy, and love from your creator God. If and when you do have the joy of the lord in your life, endeavor to not only be happy yourself, share the love of God, go out and share his love to those who may have and those who don't.

Also check out this post for a special invitation to an awesome event: DCLM: America's National Convention 2013
